This is a huge development in the NFC. The Rams are the team to beat now. I am thrilled we have Parsons, but Garrett is clearly the #1 defensive player in the league. 23 sacks last year on a 3-14 team, that beat us by the way, that was playing from behind constantly is just mind boggling. And he is so strong against the run too.

I was watching ESPN and their coverage of the Rams trade for Garrett. It looks like they have traded 7-8 of their last 10 1st round picks, and they have still been very successful. They are the epitome of "going all in." And they are very successful doing it their way. And like in our trade for Parsons, those picks always come late in the first round, so never picking from the creme of the crop. And no commitment to 1st round $$$ for the player. That said their first round pick of the Alabama QB was a huge overreach on their part. They easily could have moved back and got him 10-15 picks later.

Getting Parsons was a great trade for GB and getting Garrett is a scary great trade for the Rams. They have developed a winning formula. And they will have to cut someone. Do they have any TEs we would want?

Obviously GB wants blue chip #8. We know almost nothing, but some oddities do exist including a non 0 chance of an 8 game suspension. $11MM in cap space might be more valuable than half a year of playing, and next year's cap hit goes up.

Something that never happens is Police find a DV scene and leave without someone going to jail. Allowing multiple days before issuing a subpoena is ... inexplicable. The property damage probably wouldn't have been mentioned with 0 evidence of it, so there is some possibility of no evidence or charges of physical violence against a (still unknown) woman, but a charge of property damage related to a DV situation which might (or might not?) result in an NFL suspension, which might even be less than 6 weeks if Goodell chose?

We know nothing.

I like all day Ray Davis. He certainly hasn't established himself as a blue chip player in the NFL.

I think Gutey should wait before doing anything at RB, and the highest priority if he does anything at all should be a TE that's a really good blocker and is at least a viable target for JL10. This functionally helps our O line which is still (IMHO) the biggest variable for success this season. (Other than MLF excelling) Oddly, I think the most sensible trade bait is 1 of our 16 O linemen; they're going to have to cut at least three and if they know who's the most likely to be cut he could be added to a pick in a trade.

Criminal damage to property requires the property to belong to someone other than the person being charged. Since the incident occurred at Jacobs' house, the damage would have had to be owned by the woman, and the value would have to be in excess of $2,500 IIRC to get to a more serious charge.

The suspect left the scene, but I agree that I am surprised no charges were issued in the aftermath.
