Bingo, Fuller could be our S as we need a veteran to help the drafted rookies. I know it's a weak S class this year, but almost all the safeties mentioned in this article were drafted in later rounds so lets pick two.

Signing FA Fuller should be our #1target for FA Safety. Then if we could draft Kinchens or Nubin @ #41, the Packers would be 80% of the way toward rebuilding the Safety room and turning it into a strength. Especially if we could draft another good Safety later in the draft. Like Oladapo, Mustapha, Green, or Vaki.

On top of Fuller being a really good, young player at a position we really need, his projected salary would be a surprise bonus. The type of great FA deal that lets us fill another need @ LB or Edge.

Fuller being familiar with Hafley should give us a big advantage over other teams too. Be aggressive and go get Fuller.

Another option other than signing our own FA safeties would be to upgrade by signing Jeremy Chinn if his projected salary is in the range being predicted for him. He would be another talented, young, upgrade @ Saftey for GB. Supposed to be in the $3million area or lower.

Fuller has played mostly two high and he's slow. I don't think he really fits what Hafley is trying to do. Whitehead makes more sense than Fuller if they want to go the FA route at FS.

Chinn might be athletically talented but there definitely questions about his football talent. His passer rating allowed numbers are horrible. Superior athletes bust in the league every year. If a guy shows you he's not very good at football for four years I tend to believe them.

It depends on which Packers website you watch or what Packers article about their needs that you read.

I have read some that say Fuller would be fabulous and very reasonable. And I have also read Whitehead would be a great fit for Hafley's defense. Even though Whitehead made 94 tackles, detractors have said he misses too many.

I have also read that Chinn would be great for Green Bay. And he is far from a bust. His first 2 years were very solid. 2022 he was hurt, and last year it was said he didn't fit Evero's defense so he didn't play much. Do you think Ford, Owens or Savage would be better on our roster than Chinn. I'll take Chinn, hell he could play LB for us.
