Titans DC Chuck Cecil Fined $40,000

The National Football League has fined Tennessee Titans defensive coordinator Chuck Cecil $40,000 for his obscene gesture during Sunday's 26-20 loss to the Denver Broncos.

Titans head coach Jeff Fisher confirmed the fine during his Monday afternoon press conference.

Cecil flipped the officials the bird after Titans defensive tackle Sen'Derrick Marks was flagged for rouging the passer, a call that Cecil obviously disagreed with.

"I didn't think it was low enough to warrant the call," Fisher said on Sunday.

Cecil drew a $20,000 fine for an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty last December, and Titans owner Bud Adams was fined $250,000 after flipping off the Buffalo Bills' sideline last November.
