Steelers Agree to Terms With 1st Round C Maurkice Pouncey

Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com reports that Pittsburgh Steelers and first-round center/guard Maurkice Pouncey have agreed to terms on a contract.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Pouncey was a three-year starter at the University of Florida, splitting his time between right guard and center. The 6-5, 304-pounder is coming off an impressive season, earning first-team All-SEC and second-team All-American honors.

With his quarterback, Tim Tebow, graduating, Pouncey opted to forgo his final season of eligibility and enter the 2010 NFL Draft. Pouncey is expected to start at right guard as a rookie, and is viewed by the team to be the next in the franchise's long line of highly-decorated centers.

Florio adds that Pouncey is en route to Latrobe, having extended the Steelers' streak of "no training camp holdouts" to six years.
