Saints Re-Sign DE Bobby McCray

The New Orleans Saints have re-signed defensive end Bobby McCray< to a one-year deal.

Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com reports the New Orleans Saints have re-signed defensive end Bobby McCray to a one-year deal.

According to Florio, McCray will have a $1.5 million base salary with an additional $1 million available through incentives.

The Saints released McCray on June 21, reportedly to avoid paying a $1.25 million dollar roster bonus that was due at the end of the month.

A seventh-round pick out of the University of Florida by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2004, McCray totaled 93 tackles, including 22 quarterback sacks over his first four seasons in the NFL. During his two seasons with the Saints, McCray started 8 of 32 games, posting 41 tackles, including 7.5 quarterback sacks.
