Saints RB Pierre Thomas Tweaks Ankle

New Orleans Saints running back Pierre Thomas landed on the team's injury report after tweaking his ankle during Friday's practice, Mike Triplett of The Times-Picayune reports.

Thomas is listed as "Questionable".

The Saints' leading rusher in 2009, Thomas missed nine games this season with a severe and mysterious ankle injury. Thomas returned to action in Week 13, and has 122 yards on 37 carries with one touchdown and 12 receptions for 68 yards over the last three weeks.

New Orleans leaned on Thomas in the second half of Monday night's win over the Atlanta Falcons, which kept their hopes for a first-round bye alive and had Thomas getting back into a rhythm.

"I definitely wanted to show everybody what I could bring to the table, because, you know, it's been a while," Thomas said on Thursday. "So I'm just trying to get back into my rhythm, the couple of games before I was just getting into rhythm. I felt like, I'll say that I wasn't really 'in' rhythm that much. I was just getting back used to the game because I'd been out for a while."
