The New Orleans Saints announced the signing of veteran running back Julius Jones and safety Matt Giordano.
Veteran kicker John Carney has been released, with running back DeShawn Wynn placed on waivers.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the Jones' signing earlier today.
Giordano (5-11, 200) signed with the Atlanta Falcons in March after spending 2009 with the Green Bay Packers. During his five-year career, the first four which spent with the Indianapolis Colts, Giordano has totaled 82 tackles (27 on special teams) and 3 interceptions.
Carney joined the Saints in late September after kicker Garrett Hartley missed three of his first seven field goal attempts on the season. Carney connected on five of six field goals during his two games with the Saints, with his one miss coming from 29 yards out in a loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
Wynn (5-10, 232) has split his season between the Saints' active roster and practice squad. Ative for four games this season, Wynn did not have any touches on offense.
