Saints Add OT Jermey Parnell to Practice Squad

The New Orleans Saints have added offensive tackle Jermey Parnell to their practice squad on Tuesday.

Offensive lineman Jacob Bender has been released.

Parnell (6-6, 290) played just one season of football at Ole Miss, playing defensive end after four years on the basketball team. Signed by the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent in 2009, Parnell moved from defensive end to tight end to the offensive line, spending his rookie season on the Saints' practice squad, picking up a Super Bowl ring in the process.

The Saints waived Parnell on September 4 and he was claimed by the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins waived Parnell on Saturday to make room for offensive tackle Patrick Brown.
