Raiders Sign G Daniel Loper

According to the transactions page on their official website, the Oakland Raiders have signed free agent guard Daniel Loper to an undisclosed contract.

A restricted free agent entering this off-season, Loper was tendered at the "Right of First Refusal" level by the Detroit Lions. Loper signed the tender, which carried a $1.226 million dollar base salary for 2010, but was released shortly after the Lions acquired guard Rob Sims from the Seattle Seahawks.

A fifth-round pick (150th overall) out of Texas Tech by the Tennessee Titans in 2005, Loper has started 5 of his 48 career games in the NFL.
