Raiders Re-Sign LB Sam Williams

According to the Oakland Raiders' official transaction page, the Raiders have re-signed veteran linebacker Sam Williams.

A third-round pick (83rd overall) by the Raiders in 2003, Williams has 118 tackles, 1 quarterback sack, and one interception during his seven-year career, all of which has been spent in Silver & Black. Knee injuries, including a torn ACL that forced him to miss the entire 2005 season, has limited Williams to just 68 games, including 24 starts, during his career.

Financial terms of Williams' contract were not disclosed, but the 6-5, 260-pound former Fresno State standout played last season under a one-year contract at the veteran minimum.
