Raiders Agree to Terms With DT John Henderson

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Oakland Raiders have agreed to terms with free agent defensive tackle John Henderson on a one-year contract.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

The ninth overall pick out of Tennessee in the 2002 NFL Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars, Henderson (6-7, 335) was released by Jacksonville on April 26. During his eight seasons with the Jaguars, Henderson started 120 of his 124 games, racking up 429 tackles, 29 quarterback sacks, 38 passes defensed and 8 forced fumbles.

Henderson went to the Pro Bowl after the 2004 and 2006 seasons.

Kansas City, Atlanta, Cleveland, and the New York Giants were rumored to be interested in Henderson, who will likely start next to Tommy Kelly on the interior of the Raiders' defensive line.
