Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com reports that the Tennessee Titans and Pro Bowl running back Chris Johnson have worked out a short-term fix to Johnson's contract situation.
Per Florio, Johnson is still signed through the 2012 season, but additional money has been added to his 2010 base salary, which was scheduled to be $550,000.
Johnson has gone to back-to-back Pro Bowls since being chosen with the 24th overall pick of the 2008 NFL Draft. Johnson's five-year rookie contract is worth $12 million dollars, and Johnson has already received over $7 million in total compensation over the first team years of the deal, including a $3.86 million dollar option bonus before last season.
