Panthers Hire Warren Belin to Coach LBs

University of Georgia inside linebackers coach Warren Belin will be the next linebackers coach of the Carolina Panthers, Joseph Person of the Charlotte Observer reports.

Georgia confirmed the report on Thursday.

"Warren made some outstanding contributions to our team and program in his year with us, and we wish him the very best in his new role with the Panthers," Georgia coach Mark Richt said in a statement.

Belin, who started at linebacker for Wake Forest, coached Panthers defensive coordinator Sean McDermott at William & Mary in the mid-90s.
