NFLPA Subpoenas Roger Goodell, Troy Vincent

The NFL Players Association has served subpoenas on NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and former NFLPA president and current NFL Vice-President of Player Development Troy Vincent, requesting the release of documents "relating to allegations Vincent and other former player leaders were colluding to undermine the union's collective bargaining position."

Liz Mullen of the Sports Business Journal reports that the NFL Players Association has served subpoenas on NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and former NFLPA president and current NFL Vice-President of Player Development Troy Vincent, requesting the release of documents "relating to allegations Vincent and other former player leaders were colluding to undermine the union's collective bargaining position."

Mullen adds that the subpoenas are related to a civil lawsuit filed against the NFLPA last August by former NFLPA employee Mary Moran, who alleges that she was fired for cooperating with the United States Department of Labor in their investigation of collusion between Vincent and other former player leaders, which may have violated federal labor law.

Moran had worked as the NFLPA's Head of Human Resources.

The NFL had no comment on today's subpoenas.
