Jolly Takes Plea Deal

Green Bay Packers defensive lineman Johnny Jolly agreed to a plea deal today in Harris County, Texas.

Jolly was facing up to 20 years in prison on second-degree felony drug charges. As part of his plea deal, Jolly will not only avoid jail time, the charge will be wiped from his record if his stays out of trouble for the next year.

The NFL has suspended Jolly for the 2010 season. Jolly is eligible to apply for reinstatement after Super Bowl XLV in February.
