Jaguars Place CB Scotty McGee on IR

The Jacksonville Jaguars announced that sixth-round cornerback Scotty McGee has been placed on injured reserve with a shoulder injury.

Chosen with the 203rd overall pick of the 2010 NFL Draft out of James Madison, McGee 402 kick and punt return yards for the Jaguars during the pre-season, including 9.9 yards as the team's primary punt returner, which earned him a spot on the team's 53-man roster.

McGee's shoulder injury kept him out of both of the team's games this season.

During his four-year career at James Madison, McGee averaged 30.5 yards on 71 kick returns, bringing three back for touchdowns (99, 100, 99). McGee added punt returner to his resume as a junior, averaging 12.9 yards on 23 returns in 2008, boosted by three returns for touchdowns, with a long return of 69 yards.

To fill McGee's spot on the 53-man roster, linebacker Jacob Cutrera has been re-signed. The Jaguars also signed wide receiver Lance Long to the practice squad.
