Atlanta Falcons defensive tackle Jonathan Babineaux has been suspended for the 2010 regular season-opener, Alex Marvez of FOXSports.com reports.

Babineaux's suspension is related to his 2009 arrest on a felony marijuana possession charge. Babineaux plead "no contest" to misdemeanor charges, and received 12-months probation and a $1,500 fine last month.

In addition to the one-game suspension, Babineaux will be docked an additional game check, which will cost the sixth-year tackle $258,824 in base salary.

Babineaux is the third Falcons player to be suspended this off-season.
