Dolphins CB Will Allen Undergoes Knee Surgery

Miami Dolphins cornerback Will Allen had arthroscopic knee surgery today and will miss the remainder of the pre-season, reports Jeff Darlington of the Miami Herald.

Darlington adds that procedure was characterized as "minor".

Allen missed most of the 2009 season with a torn ACL. The 32-year old entered the off-season determined to fight Vontae Davis and Sean Smith for a starting role, but is slated to be the Dolphins' nickel cornerback in 2010.

Allen's knee had begun to bother him recently, keeping him out of three consecutive practices.
