Colts Claim RB Andre Brown Off Waivers

The Indianapolis Colts have improved the depth of their backfield by claiming running back Andre Brown off waivers, Phil Richards of the Indianapolis Star reports.
Brown had been waived by the Denver Broncos on Saturday.
To make room for Brown on the 53-man roster, the Colts have waived wide receiver Kenneth Moore, who averaged 20.4 yards on five kick returns and 6.0 yards on six punt returns during his two-game stint in Indianapolis.
A fourth-round pick out of North Carolina State by the New York Giants in 2009, the 6-0, 224-pound Brown missed all of last season with a torn Achilles. Waived by the Giants in September, Brown was claimed by the Broncos and lost one yard on two carries in three games this season.
Brown is signed through 2011 at league minimum base salaries of $320,000 in 2010 ($18,824 per week over next 11 weeks) and $405,000 next season.
