Colts Agree to Terms With 1st Round DE Jerry Hughes

Indianapolis Colts first-round defensive end Jerry Hughes has agreed to terms on a five-year contract, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

Financial terms weren't immediately disclosed.

Hughes was a two-year starter at TCU, totaling 142 tackles, 40.5 of which came in the opponents' backfield. The two-time All-American also registered 28.5 quarterback sacks, caused eight fumbles, and picked off three passes, returning one for a touchdown.

The 6-2, 255-pound Hughes gives the Colts a third edge pass-rusher to rotate with Pro Bowlers Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis.
