Chargers Reach Deal With 4th Round S Darrell Stuckey

The San Diego Chargers have agreed to terms with fourth-round safety Darrell Stuckey, Jason La Canfora of the NFL Network reports.

Financial details were not disclosed, but Stuckey's deal is likely for four years, with a total value of $2.295 million dollars, including a signing bonus of around $505,000.

Known for his hard-hitting style, Stuckey (6-0, 205) is expected to contend for the Chargers' starting strong safety job, which was vacated earlier this week with the release of Kevin Ellison.

A three-year starter at Kansas, Stuckey totaled 295 tackles and 8 interceptions during his four years with the Jayhawks, earning first-team All-Big 12 honors after his junior and senior seasons.
