One day after claiming him off waivers, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have waived tight end Martin Rucker, Adam Caplan of FOXSports.com reports.

Rucker failed his physical with the Buccaneers, Caplan reports.

Before signing rookie free agent DajLeon Farr, the Dallas Cowboys put in a waiver claim for Rucker. With tight ends John Phillips, Martellus Bennett and Scott Sicko on the shelf, the Cowboys may want to do their own medical check on Rucker.
