Buccaneers Add DT Frank Okam to Practice Squad

According to a league source, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed defensive tackle Frank Okam to their practice squad.

A fifth-round pick (151st overall) out of Texas A&M by the Houston Texans in 2008, the 6-4, 350-pound Okam totaled five tackles in 13 games before he was placed on waivers on October 25.

Okam signed a two-year deal with the Seattle Seahawks on November 2, but was waived last Saturday when wide receiver Ruvell Martin was added to the active roster. Okam was inactive for his one game on the Seahawks' 53-man roster.

The Buccaneers cleared a spot on the practice squad by deleting guard John Malecki on Tuesday.
