Browns Claim G Paul Fanaika

The Cleveland Browns claimed guard Paul Fanaika off waivers, Marc Lillibridge, Fanaika's agent, announced on Twitter.

Fanaika was waived by the Washington Redskins on Monday, who needed to clear a roster spot to accommodate restricted free agent linebacker Rocky McIntosh, who signed his one-year tender.

A seventh-round pick (213th overall) out of Arizona State in 2009 by the Philadelphia Eagles, Fanaika (6-6, 336) split his rookie season between the Eagles' practice squad and Redskins' 53-man roster.
