Broncos to Interview Falcons OC Mike Mularkey

The Denver Broncos announced that they will interview Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator Mike Mularkey for their head coaching vacancy.

Mularkey will meet with the Broncos on Friday in Atlanta.

A former NFL tight end, Mularkey coached tight ends for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Pittsburgh Steelers before becoming the Steelers' offensive coordinator in 2001.Mularkey was hired to be the head coach for the Buffalo Bills in 2004, but was fired after compiling a 14-18 record in two seasons.

After two seasons with the Miami Dolphins, Mularkey joined Mike Smith's coaching staff in Atlanta. The Falcons have ranked 6th (2008) and 16th (2009, 2010) in total offense under Mularkey, who has also helped develop Matt Ryan into a Pro Bowl quarterback.
