Bengals Waive LB Rashad Jeanty

The Cincinnati Bengals announced that linebacker Rashad Jeanty has been waived after failing his physical.

Jeanty (6-2, 243) joined the Bengals in 2006 after going undrafted out of Central Florida and beginning his professional career in the CFL. In 53 games, including 32 starts, Jeanty has totaled 214 tackles with 5 passes defensed and 5 forced fumbles.

Jeanty fractured his fibula on the opening kickoff in the Bengals' 24-14 Wild Card playoff loss to the New York Jets in January. A restricted free agent this off-season, the Bengals tendered him at the "Right of First Refusal" level in March.

Safety Tom Nelson, who has been on the PUP list since camp opened, was moved to the "Reserve/PUP" list, meaning the earliest he can return to the active roster after Week 6 of the 2010 regular season.
