Andy, you're saying Hafley had our defense playing ABOVE their talent level this week. That's what I've been saying I want to see instead of talk about "coach of the year" honors, this has to happen first. I also said before the first rookie practice that I hope Hafley and MLF are on the same page, and Gutey could be too.

I see signs that ALL of this is happening?!? If this is only beginning to gel and the team still has obvious things to improve that bodes pretty well for the rest of the season and we're certainly going to need all that in a couple weeks ...

Rookies coming up big on defense bodes well for the future. I just wish we could be more stout against the run.

Did you see King Henry last night?

The defensive game plan this week was to almost ignore the run, to keep their QB from destroying us

It worked! Although I could do without the down to the wire nail biters, expecting to dominate every team the way they did to AZ just isn't reasonable.

From the why-CHTV-is-so-much-better department, NFL dot com's weekly power rankings include one young rising star from every team, which excludes players who've already established themselves. The esteemed author listed Tucker Kraft as ours, apparently oblivious to the fact that he's ineligible because he already established himself as a top performer on this team. As have Jayden Reed and JL10.

While he demonstrates good taste by putting GB at #5 (I think that might be a little overly generous but anywhere in the top 10 is fair IMHO) Evan Williams would be my vote, with other defensive rookies in the chamber for future weeks if they continue their current trajectory.
