K Spencer Schrader was cut yesterday, and Brandon Narveson will probably soon follow. Both are potential upgrades for the Packers.

Shrader played one year at Notre Dame and made 68% of his field goal attempts. Brayden Narveson's field goal percentages in five years of college were 50% (2 of 4 as a redshirt freshman), 93%, 79%, 71%, and 78%.

They wouldn't be upgrades so much as an opportunity to start over with another Carlson-like prospect.

I don’t see us claiming either and putting them straight on the 53. I could see one on the PS if they clear waivers, but Carlson would still be here.

I see what you’re thinking. However, I am a Notre Dame fan, Schrader only made 68% of his kicks at ND. The knock on him was “consistency”. So I wonder if he’s an upgrade over what we already have. Narveson seems to have better college numbers. We’ll have to wait to see what Gute does.

If there is a WR on the PS, I’m signing Hicks first. Upside, talent and already a good block blocker. A small school guy who has much more positional versatility than even Dubose and more upside I think.

Toure would not be likely to sign unless he gets no other offers. He needs a team with less depth, ideally at slot.

I disagree with you strongly on Telfort. He needs to play in a phone box—your words and accurate. He’s the least mobile big man. That works perhaps in preseason without game planning, but not in season. I disagree with your ratings on him over preseason anyway. Id keep Jones over him without hesitation, on merit.

I’d keep Mosby, Welch and Rochell and let Davis go and Anderson too. Younger and 3 STers who cover what both Anderson and Davis do and well. I’d let King go to the PS to make that possible. Ballentine can provide depth in the slot if more than a S option is needed.

Pearson is a better run blocker than Davis and that’s the essence of that role at this point. He seems more adept offensively too in the passing game and can run the ball as a wrinkle. Whether on the roster or initially the PS, I actively prefer what he represents.

Andy, twice, I think, you said Tenuta instead of Telfort.

They're making you prove yourself. You need to show the requisite determination to make it through to comment, this show business, not show friends.
