10 Packers Rated Too Low in Madden NFL 24
Too many of Green Bay's starters are underrated on EA Sports' annual football simulator.
By markoldacres

A.J. Dillon – 78
Dillon’s 78 rating makes him the 34th best running back in Madden 24, or to put it another way, not a starting caliber back.
Often overshadowed by Aaron Jones, Dillon is absolutely a starting running back in his own right, and a bump up to 80, placing him alongside Devin Singletary, Rhamondre Stevenson, Isiah Pacheco and Elijah Mitchell, feels more than fair.
Christian Watson – 77
After a slow start, Watson exploded in the back half of his rookie season. He is only ranked as the 72nd best at his position in Madden 24, though, indicating he isn’t even a number two receiver.
A move up to 79 would be more accurate, giving him a rating just one point less than Drake London and on par with Jameson Williams, Mecole Hardman, Donovan Peoples-Jones, Rashod Bateman, Elijah Moore, Allen Robinson, and Nelson Agholor.
Preston Smith – 76
Smith has been a consistent and solid starting edge rusher during his eight NFL seasons but is currently ranked as the 20th right outside linebacker in Madden.
An increase to 79, which would rank him either 14th or 15th, level in rating with Uchenna Nwosu, would be appropriate.
Yosh Nijman – 71
Nijman isn’t an elite offensive lineman by any means, but he’s been serviceable as a starting tackle.
Currently ranked as the 70th best tackle, an increase up to 73 would be fair, placing him between 54 and 61.
Jordan Love – 70
The current rating for Green Bay’s new QB1 makes him the 36th best QB in the game.
This is somewhat understandable as there is not much to go on when giving Love a rating, but he was rated 71 in his rookie season, and it’s hard to believe he’s a worse player now.
Love is currently below the likes of Sam Darnold, Andy Dalton, and Jacoby Brissett. He should be at least a 73, or maybe even a 74, which would rank him alongside Mac Jones and Bryce Young.
Devonte Wyatt – 70
After being given a 73 as a rookie, Wyatt has seen his rating drop, making him the 49th best right end in Madden 24.
A first-round pick just one year ago, the former Georgia man has bags of talent and should be rated at least a 73 once again, making him a borderline starter at worst.
Kingsley Enagbare – 69
The former fifth-round pick flashed some real ability as a rookie and already looks a solid rotational edge rusher.
Currently the 48th best right outside linebacker, Enagbare should get a bump to 71, putting him alongside Justin Hollins, with whom he is currently battling for playing time.
Keisean Nixon – 68
This is way too low for Nixon, who starred as a kick returner in 2022 and was solid as a cover corner. His rating should be a 74, putting him just above Chandon Sullivan, who he essentially replaced in Green Bay’s secondary.
Luke Musgrave and Tucker Kraft – 66
The Packers’ rookie tight ends are ranked 77th and 78th in the league respectively, meaning they are not even second-string quality according to Madden, and fall below Josiah Deguara (68), who isn’t even a traditional tight end.
Both rookies should be rated 70, which would rank them somewhere between 45 and 53, level with fellow rookie Sam LaPorta.

No offense to Mark and this will date me but I've NEVER played Madden, I don't care about Madden, and I sure as hell could give a shit about what a players Madden Rating is. Just for fun I goggled "Madden Rating" and one of things I noticed was this link from ESPN for last season, 2023.
https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/34232065/madden-nfl-23-ratings-ranki...
If you bother to look Brady and Rodgers were the top rated "Madden" players going into 2023. They both stunk in 2023. Another one I noticed was Joe Mixon, a RB I took in Fantasy Football last season. He was ranked 6th, but if you followed Mixon last season, you'll know that was way to high for him. I still made it to the Championship Game in my League with Rodgers as a back-up and Mixon as my top RB, but that was because I worked the wavier wire like Ron Wolf. My point is these rankings MEAN NOTHING. Absolutely nothing IMO.
I mean do they REALLY believe Singletary is a better RB than Dillon? Agholor, Bateman, People-Jones, Moore, or (LMAO Allen Robinson) is on par with Watson? I understand Watson needs to show he can do it all season. But most of them have never really delivered what Watson did last year, and Robinson hasn't done it in a few years.
By next season many of these Packers will be ranked much higher and I still won't give a damn. ALL I care about is progress and I'm sure we'll all laugh at these rankings at the end of the season.

Other than Preston Smith. (AGE?)
1. They all have a lot to prove yet.
2. Whose improved! Who hasn't.
Love hasn't shown anything yet.
And Dillion goes down too easy, at times.
I agree with the ratings.

Hey Mark, I couldn't care less about the preseason crap. It's "filler" junk, no meaning nor use. Just for unfootball idiots fodder to chew on. The less "lime- light" & stupid interviews with answer laddened questions, the better for this team. The proof will be on the field. I can heard the broadcast booth bobbleheads saying "Where the hell did this team come from? How'd we miss this???" GPG!!!

I too never played Madden but someone or something must be using a system for assigning these numbers and logic says it has to be comparitive accross the board. I mean if lack of plays or playing time, injuries and missed games relative to others in the league all come into play. Thus the numbers may not mean much. I mean if you were a top rated QB who missed half a season your number would have to be lower then your competition because you didnt produce as much. That may be the key, the word "production". They look at total production amoung competition and assign a number.
Watson wasnt productive till the last half the season. His number is probably close to right.

Good. I like the low ratings. Sneak up on everyone . Let’s see what next year’s rankings look like.

Completely irrelevant, but for those players who play the game a lot, as many seem to, perhaps a good source of motivation? Madden does make in season adjustments: start fast, make an impact and they can be digitally better early.

I have never played, but the message I take from this is that a lot of the players we as Packers fans are counting on to make a difference are not viewed that way outside of this fan base...or maybe, are viewed far more conservatively.

I didn't read the article as I've never played, nor intend to play, Madden but I'm sure those who do care about it. Appreciate that you are putting in some off-season effort into providing content for fans.

Ranked where and at what number?
What price get anyone who win "Fantasy league"? I really do not care about fantasy. I care about real life. Life that we can feel, smell, touch.
That looks like all those "war game" you can play on play stations, x boxes or whatever equipment you have. Than you can ask yourself how well all those warriors would look in the right battle. I say they will lose their lifes almost immediatelly.
Same with fantasy football.
