Ugly, the officiating again favored Dallas. These refs go out of their way to find fault with anyone who may be taking the game away from them. Two of their drives were sustained by big penalties on the packers. B and S
Bad: Dallas fans who left the game before the third quarter. Why didnt they stay to see Jerrah blow a gasket?
Good: Love's passing, receivers catching and route running. Jones running. Defensive pressure and pass break ups.
Kicking Dallas butt. Scoring quickly after dallas scores to keep them in the hunt. Anyone who hates dallas and loves the packers effort should never forget this game. This was a classic to go down in history with the best of them.

Now lets kick niners ass. they arent that good and their qb can screw up with the best of them, go pack

The Good: this list could go on forever, obviously Love, Jones, all the receivers, shout out to the Oline Dallas had no shot against this group last night. The Dline was again on its game, backers were good. Not a Savage guy but where has this been 4 years it took for you to make a play. JA seemed engaged showed everyone he is good. How about every game.

The Bad: Again Carlson lucky it didn't come down to his extra point miss afraid he might have been at top of flag pole by his toes if they lost. Also where has Rashan Gary been? Little more consistant instead of the huge game then 3 games eh!

The Ugly: It took Joe Barry 15 games to decide to play balls to the wall let it all hang out defense. Looks like he secured another year, sucks, ugly.
Also clock management MLF WTF? run the ball before 2 min warning no lets throw another pass stops the clock, not sure about the rest of you but those final 4 mins seemed to go on forever.

Another test next week all good when the Packers win.

Good: I was so sick of the pundits bloviating about the Cowboys offense, their home record, the opportunistic defense etc (insert barfing emoji)
Bad: Carlson with another missed extra point PLUS why are his kickoffs returnable in a DOME? His right leg needs some Viagra.
Ugly: Barry's second half D, almost making it a game. He must get giddy with a big lead so he can call his Mr Whipple Charmin soft schemes. C'mon.

They were short-kicking to Dallas with high arch trying to set them deeper and get the cover team on their returner. You should have noticed he is pretty dynamic and retuned a few kicks out of the endzone.

Do you really think the plan was to kick shorter and higher? Call it what it is. Carlson is sketchy as a kicker. All season his kickoffs have been short and returnable. And all season our kick coverage has been a weakness. #1 bring in competition @ kicker, the Stanford kicker Harty or the Missouri kicker Mevis both have strong legs. And they won't cost us draft picks. I think we missed on Carlson. He has the same problems he had in college. Barry and Biassaca need to go after season is over. They are weak points and holding the team back.

"I was so sick of the pundits bloviating about the Cowboys offense, their home record, the opportunistic defense etc (insert barfing emoji)"

And after the fact, most national media pundits don't want to talk about the Packers and how they played beyond a hand-wave, they want to talk about the Dallas collapse. Do they need a rebuild? Will Jerrah fire MM? Does Dak deserve an extension? Is their window closed (was it ever open)?

Dallas has been a focal point of this league for a long time. They live in the penthouse even when they're not good. Were they paper tigers? Maybe--their schedule wasn't that strong and they were meh against teams with any credibility. But you don't win 12 by accident in a league that tries to drive everyone to 8-9 or 9-8.

...and they got humbled.

Good: Love, OL, WRs, TEs, even the defense. The Pick Six from Savage, Jaire’s INT.

Bad: Taking starters out too early & the refs, including ex-ref sportsyakkers. No one watches for the drama of flag reveals. Get out of the way. And shutup, Dean.

Ugly: What’s about to happen in Dallas The Cowboys aren’t going to win anything meaningful until after Jerry’s six feet under. Jerry, if you are looking for the problem with your toy football team, you just need to take a good long look in the mirror. If you can stand it.

The GOOD (No, really the GREAT): The Packer Offense scoring a record amount of points in the playoffs. Wow...48 points!!!
The BAD: Coach Barry's goal line and 2 point conversion swiss cheese defense. So many holes and points make it the wurst. Yuk. 2 point conversions are like automatic against this coach.
The UGLY: Another botched extra point kick. Is this some kind of record? Not sure if we should fire the kicker, the snapper, or the special teams coach or all 3. If we lose in the playoffs, it may be by a point; but enough of the negative. What an offense! What dominance! What a win! Let's do it again in SF!!!

The Good: Total team effort, and they overcame the officiating

The Bad: Officiating…NFL needs to settle this and get full time refs. It’s getting ridiculous and un watchable.

The Ugly: Dallas instigating fights to draw flags…even on top of the calls going their way. Total garbage team.

My sincerest wish is that Jerruh Jones spends the rest of eternity shoveling coal while he watches an endless GIF of him fuming and sputtering after playoff losses.

The good—-watching all the jerks on the Fox pregame broadcast showing their a$$ to a national audience and having their faces rubbed in it during halftime and postgame. Moreover, Jimmy Johnson’s driviling halftime rant was perhaps the most sickening and biased BS ever demonstrated to a football audience. Fire him!
Bad: The Cowboys defense
Ugly: The Cowboys offense
Go Packers—great win.

Agree on the officiating—the refs stood and watched as Love took three late hits. The one by Parsons was very late and to the head.

I wouldn't be so hard on the decision to play some back ups. It was more a matter of relaxing the schemes that were working. Those are inexperienced backups that may be needed when a starter goes down, so a coach can do well to get those guys under the big stage lights. They had a comfortable lead, but allow the backups run agressive plays.

The Good: Aaron Jones, Jordan Love, the OL, Alexander, Savage and the Packers pass rush. Total domination by the Packers for 3+ quarters.

The Bad: Officiating and inserting subs too early in the 4th quarter, especially on defense.

The Ugly. Carlson missing another extra point. MLF challenge.

Easily the best game of the season. Can't wait for next week against SF. Go Pack Go. Thanks, Since '61

These are the things which stood out to me:
1. The effectiveness of Matt LaFleur's game plan and the way he called the game. The Packers looked like a group of seasoned veterans out there.
2. How well the offensive line held up against the often touted Cowboys defense which was discussed ad nauseam by "experts" around the league.
3. The energy and elusiveness along with the power that Aaron Jones ran with during this game. He looked like a man among "boys" throughout the game.
4. The precision that Jordan Love played with. He looks like an NFL MVP the way he is running that offense and I hope I never hear another "expert" say he is a good game manager; The guy is a "Tiger" behind center and I love it.

These are the things which were less appealing to me:
1. The disappointing performance of the kickers who we spend a draft choice on who has kept fans on edge during the entire season. When he lines up for a kick, including extra points, I am on the edge of my seat hoping he doesn't miss it.

2. The overall lack of expertise of the referees who are calling the game and the lack of consistency in making calls. The fortunate thing is that the Packers dominated this game from the onset, so even marginal officiating wouldn't effect the outcome like it did in the Cowboy's game against the Lions last week.

The Good: The Packers owned the most overrated bombastic team in the NFL. Statement made.

The Bad: The Packers should have scored 50.

The Ugly: Today the “National” media will spend all day talking about the self absorbed, LOSING franchise. Instead of talking about the great story that is Jordan Love (the 20 something year old kid who they relentlessly mocked and criticized) and his Green Bay Packers. Anyone remember when they mocked Gute or how about “Love isn’t any good, he can’t play”? Where’s the mea culpa?

GOOD:
The entire team, coaching staff, and front office. 0ne exception follows.

BAD: The one exception is spiking the ball before crossing the goal line. Lafleur should never have pulled most of the starters with 6 minutes left. Even though he did, Barry should never have played so soft that he gave up 16 points and almost let them back in the game.

UGLY: Nothing could be as ugly as Jimmy Johnson giving the half time speech to the Cowboys on camera practically with tears in his eyes. So much for journalistic objectivity.

Did anyone notice the "Deer in the headlights" look on Ceedee Lambs face in the first half? Or the " I gotta go poopoo" look on Daks face in the first half? Priceless!

Inserting subs is always right and wrong in the games. The last thing any coach wants is to lose a starter because they played too long in a blowout. And this was a blowout. The other side of the coin is the subs won't perform. There is a fine line between deciding on play calls that run time off the clock and plays that allow the players to improve so if called on they can perform. We haven't really had a game like this all year. It's a good dilemma to be in. Let's keep it up. GB knows all too well that you can lose a playoff game after a first round bye. Both teams are playing well right now. Should be a good game.

I here you Stockholder
Matt La said in a press conference three weeks ago, that he was going to be more involved with the defense and since then the backfield coverage and blitz packages seem drastically improved.
However the last 8 minutes of the Dallas game seamed to be a revision back to the old weak pass rush soft zone style defense that was JB calling card...
And it showed
The Packers substituted the wrong players to early at the end of a playoff game... wait till the last two minutes...

THE GOOD: Jordan Love leading this young team to GLORY in Dallas! Everyone contributed to this victory! A total TEAM effort! Watching Jerruh needing a new Depends at halftime. Watching Jimmy Johnson beg the Cowboys for a victory, with tears in his eyes, at halftime. Watching all the FOX game show hosts eat crow after a superb butt kicking by the Packers, on their chosen team. (They all picked the Cowboys to win). Jimmy Johnson, with his lips twitching and tears in his eyes, post game. Jerry knowing his team got stomped by the Packers, AGAIN, and that he will have to face the throng of reporters awaiting his attempt to escape the stadium.
THE BAD: Carlson missed another PAT. Carlson not kicking the ball out of the end zone, or into the end zone, on his kick offs. MLF and Co. pulling the starters, way too early and then having to put them back in as the Cowboys started scoring garbage time points, to make the score look like this was ever a close game. Injuries to some our players. How is McDuffie? Jaire? Enagbare? and anyone else I missed here?
THE UGLY: Gotta be Jerruh! The epitome of bad ownership and a blueprint of what not to imitate, for other owners, in the League. The guy, as Nagler said, tried to end revenue sharing in the League, which would have hurt badly or even ended football in GB, as we know it. I love that we have owned his ass for a long time, now!

Hey Erik, I get downvoted every time I comment on Carlson. He is not the long-term kicking answer. How can't a kicker that big kick the ball out of the endzone? And how many extra points is he going to be allowed to miss?

Kicker competition is in order this summer. Bring in some UDFA kickers like Harty-Stanford, Mevis-Missouri, Reichardt-Alabama. All can kick the ball through the end zone. Mevis hold SEC FG record of 63 yards. Placekicker is a weakness we need to fix and it won't cost much $$$.
