Railbird Central Podcast: Datone Jones and His Ankle Injury
The injury to the Packers' first round draft pick is discussed on Railbird Central, speculating on the severity of his injury and possible return.
We kick off today's show with a discussion of the injury first round draft choice Datone Jones sustained in the Packers' preseason opener and speculate about its severity and when he might return to action. Then we take a look at the individual evaluations from ProFootballFocus.com on the Packers' players from the first preseason game. I apologize for a couple hiccups along the way from when the streaming audio cut out during the live broadcast of the show, but I cut out most of the breaks during the podcasted edition for seamless listening.

The image you mentioned. I saw it on Twitter and cringed.

Why so serious? :-)

When I first saw a replay, I thought, based on how contorted his leg was, that it was going to be a knee. I was actually glad they said it was an ankle, but now after all this time I'm not sure. Imagine after only one play.
Fear the worst, hope for the best might become this teams motto.

I would say that Jones should count himself lucky. That position of the knee/leg is a classic ACL tear waiting to happen. Be happy its only an ankle...

OMG just shut up Stroh.

Just heard Jones is OK. Now I have to find something else to worry about.

Yeah, should be out a few days but nothing serious.

Whew. Just, fucking, whew.

I think all of Packer Nation just took a deep breath of relief. I know I did. I was expecting the worse and got the much better news then expected

I love the podcast, however, often times I have to turn it off because you collect the saliva in your mouth and it becomes really distracting and quite frankly disgusting. It's alright to swallow your saliva more often than ever 10
minutes. Just sayin.

I think that description is more disgusting than the condition
August 12, 2013 at 06:05 pm
Wow, really man? You've got issues.
August 13, 2013 at 11:57 am
I listen to nearly every single episode and have never noticed this. Don't be a weirdo, man.
Keep up the good work, Brian.

Listen. I said I love the podcast. I think it's the best one out there. I'm sure Brian is capable of handling a little criticism from a meaningless nobody like me. His podcast is great. He's great. Relax people.

Brian, if you're reading this, I apologize if I offended you. I love your podcast. You're a great person from all accounts. I didn't mean to make such an insensitive personal remark. Please accept my apology.

No need to worry, Billy. I think being a one-man broadcast, I talk non-stop, and that's part of the issue. No time to pause.
August 14, 2013 at 07:49 pm
That's just it. You don't have an issue. Clearly I had a bad day and took liberties making insulting comments that were unwarranted. Keep being you because you're just fine, bud. Again, I'm truly sorry. You have the best podcast in the land. I've been living in California for 12 years. I'm probably just bitter from last season as all of my friends out here, niner fans, feel the need to rip the pack and both failed attempts at victory last season. Anyway, go pack go! Keep the podcast rollin Brian :-)
