Brian, you said it yourself, Sitton was upset that they would not extend his contract and they have A LOT of players with contracts expiring. Sitton is not stupid, why should he play for a team that is not going to give him another contract?? What if he gets injured during the season? At his age it would then be difficult to get a big contract on a different team next year. This was all about $$ and Sittion not wanting to play for a team that does not want him. I would not be surprised if Sitton asked to be released.

On an only semi-related note, I just noticed that Lane Taylor is the heaviest player on the roster this year.
