The start of the new league year, St. Patrick's Day tomorrow, a beautiful Spring day in Texas, a rising stock market......there's a lot of things to be happy about.
We get to start with 90 guys, and we'll end up only dressing 45 (I can't keep up with the change) with about another 25 or so Inactive, on the Practice Squad, or on some type of IR or PUP or COVID. That's about 70, so most of these guys have to be able to play. Your #9 OL could become your starter. You might end up with a FA covering Dez Bryant in the playoffs. You can't afford to have a big fall off from the best to the worst. Everybody has to be able to play.
Minus the 3 Specialists....Crosby, Bojo, and the Long Snapper......that means we're really only playing our best, healthiest 42, and when I look at our best 50 or so, I think it could be a really good group this year. I thought last year we had the best Packer team I had seen since the merger (1970). I think we have the opportunity to be even better this year.
Truly, it's a glorious day to be alive and a Packer fan.

Lol... I have two - three guys that downvote my every comment.
(I'm pretty sure they're Facebook Fact Checkers...)

I can't even downvote Leatherhead today. It's 60 degrees in the Twin Cities. Of course, the rapid melt means my backyard has turned into a lake. But hey, now we have 10,001. Have to change those license plates.

People that hate optimism. Theyre the same guys that call in after a Packers win to tell Falconio that the win wasn't decisive enough, that X player didn't get enough snaps, Y didn't get enough, etc.

It was up Monday, it was up Tuesday, it was up Wednesday. It's all relative.
We're under the 36,800 all time high. We're about even for the last 12 months. But when I wrote this, the market was up from the previous day.

I would definitely up vote this, but I couldn't down vote it even if I was ignorant enough to do so.
My up vote and down vote features still don't work anymore.

I have a few guys I was in the service with down there. I don't leave the property much, unless it's to hunt, but if I happen to get down that way, I'll buy ya a beer/drink... ; )
If you ever get up here, just holler... I'll burn you a steak.

Thanks, Aaron. I had written in another thread that I remembered you couldn't trade compensatory picks. Glad you clarified the change; i hadn't see the rule change.

They've got about half an hour and a couple moves that need to be made yet to make the cap...

No more Bojo. Too expensive allegedly.

More like not consistent enough and apparently not a great holder? IDK
Maybe Rich Bisaccia has a plan he's going to implement? Sure hope so.

I was just relaying the stated reason. I accept it might have been different if he had been more consistent, but, while referenced, it was money that was cited as the reason for not taking him to camp.

I thought it was lack of consistency also. I saw that his salary would be slightly over $1 million while an undrafted free agent or rookie would be $700,000. I can't believe that $300,000 would be the reason. He was #18 in net punting yards and dropped off the last six games. It might be that Bisaccia wants to look at a couple of guys this summer and have a say in who the punter will be.

You and AR are exactly the same. It's all about the "money" with you two... ; )
