Packers Practice Report: Rodgers, Nelson, Barrington All Missing

The Packers quarterback, wide receiver and linebacker were reportedly not present at practice on Friday.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was one of four players missing from practice, according to Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com:

Rodgers' absence from practice is not necessarily a surprise given the aggravation of his calf injury in the regular-season finale against the Detroit Lions.

The Packers are not in dire straits just because Rodgers missed a practice, however. It will be more important that he practices next week when they get closer to their divisional round game. After all, the team has yet to implement any game plan for a specific opponent as of yet.

It was a mild surprise that Nelson, Barrington and Goodson were all missing, seeing as there were no injuries reported in the aftermath of the Lions game.

Head coach Mike McCarthy will share more information in a press conference later on Friday. It's possible none of the absences were injury-related.

If only the identified four players were missing from practice, it can be assumed that cornerback Davon House was taking part. The cornerback has not practiced since Week 15 with a shoulder injury.

Essentially, it's good news. House is at least practicing.
