Packers assistant director of college scouting Shaun Herock has reportedly been hired to become the Oakland Raiders director of college scouting. "Herock, the Packers’ longest-tenured college scout in terms of continuous service, joined the Packers scouting staff full-time under GM Ron Wolf in 1994, the same year (Reggie) McKenzie joined the Packers’ staff. Herock was scouting college prospects while McKenzie working as a pro personnel assistant under Wolf," writes Jason Wilde of ESPNMilwaukee.com. "McKenzie, who was promoted to director of pro personnel in 1997 and to director of football operations in 2008, was hired as the Raiders’ GM in January." Herock's father, Ken, both played and worked for the Raiders organization.

In announcing defensive lineman Tony Hargrove's suspension, the NFL justified their decision in a statement. "Hargrove submitted a signed declaration to the league that established not only the existence of the program at the Saints but also that he knew about and participated in it," said the statement, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. "The evidence showed that Hargrove told at least one player on another team that Vikings quarterback Brett Favre was a target of a large bounty during the NFC Championship Game in January of 2010. Hargrove also actively obstructed the league's 2010 investigation into the program by being untruthful to investigators." Despite the suspension, it's difficult to envision the Packers cutting Hargrove now. They don't have to pay him and he doesn't take up a roster spot during suspension. When he comes back from suspension, they can play him if they need him, or they could also cut him then.

Undrafted free agent Dale Moss was interviewed by Tyler Dunne of JSOnline where he talked about his basketball background and his future with the Packers. “I had a lot of work to do but over the summer, I grinded it out and put in a lot of work," Moss told Dunne. "When I played in the Shrine game, my route-running was so much better. When I have a chance to work on that stuff, I’m almost OCD with it. I just want to be perfect with it. That’s why I’m excited to get with the staff and work with them this summer. I know I’ll make big strides even after we’re done with OTAs, and coming into training camp." Moss appears to have the raw skills necessary to make it in the NFL, but he's very unexperienced. His best-case scenario in 2012 would appear to be as a practice squad performer.

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers joined the Dan Patrick Show on Wednesday where he discussed the recently completed NFL Draft. “Some of these teams might not be ready right away to be playoff teams,” Rodgers told Patrick. “The scrutiny  on those players is so much more than I was drafted as a first-round player.” Patrick's website has audio of Rodgers' interview.
