Packers Calendar: Second Week of OTAs Conclude in Green Bay

The Packers will practice on Thursday in Green Bay, but the session will not be open to the public.

Once again, the Packers will practice on Thursday in Green Bay, but it won't be open to either the public or the media.

Thursday's practice session represents the final day of the second week of Organized Team Activities (OTAs).

Starting next Tuesday, the Packers will begin their mandatory three-day minicamp, which probably will be indistinguishable from OTAs. The only difference is that every player under contract must attend the non-voluntary minicamp.

Seeing as the Packers have had 100 percent participation during their OTAs, with the exception of defensive lineman Johnny Jolly, there should be no noticeable difference from a practice standpoint.

Jolly continues to go through "the process" as described by Packers head coach Mike McCarthy, presumably meaning that he still has legal hoops to jump through following a court-ordered drug rehabilitation program.

Even cornerback Sam Shields is not obligated to attend the mandatory minicamp, because he is technically still not under contract with the Packers as a restricted free agent.
