Packers Calendar: Offseason Phase Two Begins

The Packers' offseason workout program enters phase two today, which includes individual and group instruction from coaches.

The NFL Draft is over, undrafted free agents have been signed, but by NFL rules, the 20-plus newest members of the Green Bay Packers can't start practicing with the team yet.

After two weeks of strictly strength and conditioning, phase two of the offseason workout program begins today, which will last three weeks.

During those three weeks, veterans of the team can begin taking part in individual or group instruction drills with coaches, but no contact or drills versus an opponent are yet allowed. A good summary of the NFL's offseason rules and limitations under the league's new Collective Bargaining can be found at MaxDenver.com.

While in phase two, rookies can take part in an three-day orientation camp within two weeks of the Draft, which in Green Bay will happen the weekend of May 13.

Until then, the veterans on the team will continue their offseason workout program, but starting today, will include instruction from coaches for the first time today.

This evening, wide receiver Donald Driver will once again compete on Dancing With The Stars.

It's Week 7 on DWTS, which is "Classical Week" and Driver will compete in a group routine including more than just his partner Peta Murgatroyd. A group of six will take part in a Viennese Waltz.

Dancing With The Stars airs at 7 p.m. Central time on ABC.
