It seems that the Viking are where all Packer players go to end their career.

It does indeed seem to be the retirement home for many of our former players.

It's the not-so-mythical elephant graveyard.

I love the 2 signings we made. McKinney fills a huge hole and our defense is greatly improved. After the Aaron Jones contract situation blew up we had 2 options, find another good veteran to replace AJ, or hit the draft hard for 2 or more. They chose the veteran route but hit a home run by signing one of the top 3 FA backs. A+

The 2 signings change our 1st 2 round draft needs and gives us more flexibility to make a killing on O-linemen. I can easily see 2 in the first 5 picks, maybe even 2 in the first 3 picks, which would give us 2 starter quality picks. Now we can take a Safety in the 2nd or 3rd round and still get quality. Maybe Kinchens falls to round 3 after his combine performance, where he would be a steal for us.

I am disappointed that we appear to have missed out on getting an upgrade FA linebacker. Some were too expensive, some were overpaid, some we waited too long to be in the mix for. Josey Jewell was reasonable and would have been a really good 3-year pickup for $7 million per year. Willie Gay turned out to be a cheap LB option who easily would have been an upgrade for only $5 million.

I am in the minority, but one potentially big time LB upgrade that I like, is still available. Devin White is every bit as talented and productive as Patrick Queen and will be signed for way less than the $14 million that Queen got. Neither was given a second contract by their teams, so I fail to see an issue with signing White.

I will bet we could sign him for 3 or 4 years for $6 million per. He needs a change of scenery, and to have a chance at this kind of talent upgrade after everyone else we were in on, is too big of an opportunity to miss on. He has averaged over 100 tackles for 5 years, why not for us?

Another under the radar LB signing would be another player we could steal from the Giants. Isaiah Simmons was the #8 pick in the 2020 draft and was the #1 LB in that class. 6'4 240lbs and ran 4.39 @ the combine. He had really good years with the Cardinals in 2021 and 2022, and a decent year in 2023 with the Giants after they traded for him.

At Clemson he played CB, FS, SS, and both weakside and strongside LB.

Just figure out where to play him. Might be a cheap steal.
