Andy Herman is always great to listen to and this is my first time hearing Mike Wahle, he is extremely knowledgeable. Mike's assessment of the taller OL is very interesting and make total sense. Also his assessment of Rasheed Walker being better than OL that might be available to us in the draft is surprising. His thoughts about our LB conundrum and what to do is spot on. I wonder if the Packers have some LBs from other teams in mind that they might make a trade offer for.

Anyway you look at the RB situation, Josh Jacobs is a younger RB upgrade over an older, oft injured Aaron Jones. It's a fact of life that the younger eventually push aside the older. Although it sounds like GB learned from the bad contracts they have signed over the last 5 years.

As a draft guy you should watch his film breakdowns of some of the draft prospects. He's done OT, C and S so far and will probably do G and DT yet. He's the one that got me hoping Fautanu lasts to 25. He said he has the best footwork in this class of Ts and with his long arms sold me on him being able to play outside even though he's pretty short. He breaks down his longer shows into individual clips on YouTube.

If you're not yet familiar with Mike Wahle, he's been a GEM all season! Definitely get caught up on his YouTube channel, tons of great insight, stuff that can only come from someone who has done it, and at a very high level.

Same for me: First time hearing Mike Wahle, and I was impressed. Others here have mentioned him, and now I see why.

I was glad to hear his positive assessment of Rasheed Walker, as I think Walker has been overlooked by a lot of people. I'm still reading mock drafts that mention a gaping hole that was left by the departure of David Bakhtiari. But Jordan Love was not under a lot of pressure from that side late in the season, and there were no catastrophic errors. The coaches have said that Walker needs to improve, but my interpretation of those comments is that he is a young player who has not been good for very long yet and has not reached his ceiling. And I think Zach Tom should stay at RT. The Packers need to draft an OT for depth and developmental purposes, not to start.

I agree with Andy that nobody jumps out as an ideal first round pick for the Packers.

I go back a long way as a Packer fan and remember Mike Wahle well as a top offensive lineman for the Packers. I've listened to him several times and based upon what he has said during those broadcasts, it seems like he would make a fine offensive line coach in the league. I have no idea what his annual salary is compared to what offensive line coaches are paid in the NFL and perhaps that may very well deter him from ever changing.

It appears that he has a fairly full life - coaching, advising, speaking, podcasting and travelling. I get the sense that this life and lifestyle suits him fine - as he's his own boss - setting his own schedule. Which is the opposite of being an employee with a set schedule.

I also watch most of mikes shows he is a wealth of knowledge Sometimes on twitter he asks for listeners questions , so I asked him why the packers have not contacted him about a coaching job - his answer was how do you know if id even want the job . I still wish they would at least try to bring him aboard as a consultant .

continued shift to a power running game. the OL moves are all younger and bigger: Walker, Jenkins, Meyers, Ryahn, and backups Jones, Tenuta and Telfort. The outlier is Zach Tom - really good but not huge. When Gutey drats a new OT (e.g. Mims), Tom moves to Center, that will fix that too.

Although - I wouldn't mind drafting JPJ at C, and leave Tom at LT.

Very strange conundrum of what to do with Zach Tom. Has he played so much at RT that C is now off the table? He's about Bakh's size; if that's our best, why continue acquiring huge humans?

So far Mims and Guyton in on Top 30 visits and both are bigger than those Packer OL prerequisites. Mims @ 6'8 340lbs and Guyton @ 6'8 325lbs. Wouldn't be great to know which players are the smokescreens.

Does anyone know who the Packers interviewed @ the Combine?
