One trick pony, low football IQ. He's hit his ceiling, terrible contract.

I wish whoever thumbed you would tell you you're off the mark. Gary does his job and other teams have to account for him. Like Clark, it doesn't show up in their numbers.

I see Clark doing a lot more than Gary, he's the one making crucial stops. Gary runs at the QB, gets stopped (by a single lineman), and that's that. Or he runs at the QB while the RB jets away with the ball. No spins, no jukes, no adjustment, no seeing through the play. Just the bullrush.

Even when Gary does something it's usually him throwing himself on a player already snagged and going down.

Not. Worth. That. Contract.

You are evaluating an “inside” down lineman vs an “edge” player. Gary’s main function is to create pressure.

I never claimed my opinion was particulary well-thought out, insightful or smart.

As an M fan I followed his career. He had knack for going missing in big games. Always seemed to have a little injury keeping him out. He would play lights out against Rutgers. Pre draft analyst had him round 2 or early 3. His knock, lacking upper body strength to power through bigger stronger o linemen in the NFL.
We're playing the best teams now with the best o lines. Ya he is missing
