I can’t begin to tell you how happy I am with Day 2 picks.
Musgrave, Athlon’s #23 overall from their ZZTop 100 picked at 42. Luke Musgrave was considered the most athletic TE since Kyle Pitts to enter the draft. (Leaving that Autoincorrect, lolz)
The Kraft pick, a cherry on Top. #18 overall in Athlon Top 100. Picked at 78.
There’s any 12 and 13 personnel concepts LaFleur has in his bag of tricks.
And, in between, WR/PR Jayden Reed, the only player outside Athlon’s Top 100. Likely Reed’s skill set that important to every Jet concept LaFleur can dream up. (Last year Gutekunst took 5 Athlon Top 100 players).
Bo Melton, 4.34 - and already on our roster, also very well versed running Jet concepts.
We will be seeing a VERY DIFFERENT OFFENSE next season. LaFleur has EVERY toy at his disposal.
Fantastic draft thus far at a glance. Time will tell, but, a lot of promise. Not getting WR Rashee Rice my only knock here, but you can’t take them all.
