You’ve got me pegged BDU! 😃
I’ve picked two safeties and two OTs late, plus Moody, in many of my mocks! I also pick two TEs often.
Johnston is still one of my favorite picks at 15, too.
I’d still prefer a bunch of trades for 2024 draft capital.

Also BDU, as a fellow draftnik, I’m a great believer in BPA. What would you think of the Packers selecting a CB at 15? Since there are a bunch of first-round CBs in this draft, what if the Packers think one of them is a future All-Pro, and he’s available at 15?
Drafting to fill needs over a clearly BPA is a losing wager, in my opinion.

I would much rather Gutey drafted an All-Pro CB than any TE in the 1st round...
I would rather Gutey draft an All-Pro OLBer or DL though. (Even a top-flight LT...)

I agree about not using 15 for a TE.
I'm curious to see who drops to 15; lots of folks seem to think Johnston and Bijan will be there, but I'm not so certain. Many think Skoronski will be gone, but I think he might be there, but I'm not sure he's the right guy for the Packers either.
I always have a hard time judging OLmen, since I don't have the tape to study them, and there are so many parts to what makes one potentially great, so I rely heavily on other scouts' opinions. I don't have strong feelings about this year's crop of OL, especially Paris and Broderick. As far as LT, I feel there is still a good possibility Bakh returns, and could easily be great for 4 more years. And what if Caleb Jones actually is as good as he potentially showed last year? He and Bakh could be a very good pair of OTs for the next several years.
The edges in this class seem to be a lot of boom-or-bust types (as usual). It would be GREAT to hit on one, but it's a dice roll I think.
On the other hand, I think Bijan and Quentin are "sure things."
It's an interesting class.
