Don't care about Brady. Great QB who repeatedly demonstrated his ability to win big games. Glad he's retiring. Doesn't affect the Packers, other than it creates another possible trade partner looking for a starting QB next year.

The Top Of The Roster

***Assuming no Rodgers, no big $ signings of FAs.

Love, Jones, Dillon, Watson, Doubs, Toure, DeGuara, Lewis, Bakhtiari, Jenkins, Nijman, Runyan, Myers, Newman, Hanson, Rhyan, Walker, Jones.

That's 18. We'll need a backup QB, two more receivers, a TE, a RB, and some better linemen on the 53.

Clark, Slaton, Wyatt, PSmith, Campbell, Walker, Enagbare, Alexander, Douglas, Stokes, Savage, Ford, Carpenter, Gary, eventually. A few others like Innes Gaines and Shemar. It's a pretty good 11 man group, but it gets thin in a hurry. We could use a good player at Safety to replace Amos, who I think will not be back.

The front office M.O. has been to fill holes prior to the draft. They also have a long history of drafting defenders in the first round. We aren't going to have money to be much of a player in FA. The names I listed as the Top Of The Roster? That's the biggest part of the team next year.

XXXXXXX

Trade down, get more picks in the Top 100. Get a WR and a TE (the TE should be a blocker and receiver). Get a starting Safety. Strengthen the offensive line.

And of course, this doesn't even factor in whatever compensation we'll be getting for Rodgers. We've got a tremendous opportunity to strengthen the roster in the draft this year, and should try to get extra picks.
