I always liked Tom Clements when he was with the Pack. I kind of followed him when he was in the CFL - when the CFL was good - not what it is now. Rich Garcia, Joe Kapp, Warren Moon, Doug Flutie - many NFLers got a good start in the CFL.

Tom did a great job when we transitioned from #4 to #12 - I think he kind of quit because of MM. In any case - I think that it might be a win win - both for Lafleur and for #12 and hopefully a jump in philosophy - away from just looking for Adams.

"Clements finished his CFL career with over 39,000 passing yards, 252 passing touchdowns, and a 60.35 completion percentage. In 2005, for the 75th anniversary of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Clements was selected one of the Bombers 20 all-time great players. In addition, in November 2006, he was voted one of the CFL's Top 50 players (#47) of the league's modern era by Canadian sports network TSN.""""
