People have drawn parallels to the Andre Rison signing. Meh.

Rison was just one of the pieces on a loaded Packer team. I think Odel puts the offense over the top in a few weeks. Gonna take a little time to adjust.

Low risk with potential of high return. Easy decision, bring him on, if he is a cancer you let him go. I highly doubt he would be a negative influence because this is a chance to get a ring and enhance his opportunity for a contract with the Packers or some other team next year.

I was thinking, shout it from the roof tops, "NO !!! "
Then an alert from TBR hit my phone, saying the Packers offered ODB the minimum veteran salary. And in that light I said to myself, "OK, why not.?"

Good play Gute.

Sign him if they can for league minimum.

For OBJ this is about 2 things. A one year contract to see if he can win a SB. Secondly, to show everyone he can play nice, and then by doing so where he hopefully can get a big offseason contract.

It's all about the money! Whether he uses the Packers to achieve the above, or the Packers use him to achieve their goal who cares as long as everyone is happy achieving their objectives.

"Minnesota Vikings offensive lineman Dakota Dozier, who is vaccinated, was hospitalized on Tuesday night after contacting COVID-19, reports say. "

But...But...But..this can't be true. We are being told the vaccine keeps cases mild and prevents them from having to go to the hospital.

Beckham goes with da mooney, Pack offered minimum pay and my guess he will pass, like other free agents who didnt give the pack the discount double check

Unless a team offers over 4.25 million obj receives no additional money, the browns are paying him, so money will not be the factor..

If the Packers offered the veteran minimum, then the cap hit to GB is $537.49K for his half year in GB.

It makes no sense for Beckham to be waiting for a higher offer, as he reported is, unless he can double dip. Cleveland and Beckham altered the contract, but no one knows if Cleveland is still guaranteeing his remaining base salary, and no one knows if Beckham waived his termination pay. I doubt that Beckham is hoping for a multi-year offer: the whole point is to re-establish his market value and/or chase a super bowl ring, preferably both at the same time. Saints might not offer either with their QB situation.
