Gut Reactions: Patriots 31 Packers 17

Aaron's gut reactions to the Packers loss to the Patriots.

  • I'm over this team.
  • This team does way too many things to shoot itself in the foot. That's a reflection of coaching.
  • Pretty sure Rodgers called his own number on the 4th down run - that ain't your game any more, 12.
  • No team looks more lethargic on offense than the Packers.
  • No, seriously, they can't get a play off coming out of a commerical break.
  • That's pathetic.
  • Mike Pettine's group played ok, but still too inconsistent.
  • Doesn't help that Tramon was a liability at free safety tonight.
  • Guess we know why Breeland hasn't been playing. Yikes.
  • Loved McCarthy trolling the world with the same playcall as last week coming out of his endzone.
  • The whole game turned on Aaron Jones' fumble.
  • What must it be like to have an offensive playcaller who dreams up things like that throwback screen the Pats ran?
  • Nick Perry's one man show "Invisible" is a critically accliamed hit that will undoubtedly run through December.
  • Clay Matthews is the master of "making something happen that almost turns into a play but never really does."
  • David Bakhtiari is a bright spot.
  • As is MVS.
  • Speaking of, as predicted, the Pats did a good job of taking Davante Adams away, Would have been nice if McCarthy and Rodgers had gotten MVS involved earlier as a counter, but they were too busy taking the playclock down to 0:01 so they could hand the ball off to Jamaal Williams.
  • Can't wait to hear what needs to get cleaned up that never will be.

The frustration is obvious. It would be great to loss a game in an original way instead of in classic MM fashion. Maybe a smart call the did not work, not a QB by Rodgers. My oh my did creative play calling appear on one side.

maybe we could lost and have a special teams game where the STs were not a disaster and the coach making jokes.

OR try and be aggressive and take the kick off and make the other team play up hill.

Yet on the post game show MM will be asked about the great fans who traveled and the never give up spirit that led to using the extra time outs at the end of the game , no quit in mike

2018 Packers so far this year;

. Good enough to beat 2 of the worst 3 teams at home ( niners game a nail biter) and a bad Bears QB at home.

. Couldn't beat a basically bad Lions team.

. 0-3-1 against winning teams

. 0-4 on the road

. Got crushed by Washington who just got crushed by a 3-4 team (coming into the game) at home today

. Have a 30-33 Million dollar a year QB who's playing like a 20M QB..... actually, some 4M rookie deal QBs are playing better than Rodgers

. Has about 26M a year tied up in 2 of the worst OLBs in the league

. Beat themselves a lot ( good teams don't do this)

. Doesn't have a creative head coach

. Couldn't take advantage of the Pat's without Gronkowski, Sony Michel and best O Lineman

. Previous GM was horrific producing talent the last 3-4 years

. What is Mark Murphy job.... real estate manager around Lambeau field?

. I Like MVS

. Breeland.....Bad

. King and Bulaga hurt? Who would have guessed?

. Packers have about 12 Players that are keepers and the rest could easily be cut and replaced.

Can this be turned around in the 2nd half of the season?

Wow! First real game action for Breeland and people are bitching about his play? What do you realistically expect? For him to play like a pro bowler against Brady after 11 months of no live NFL action? Breeland will be fine by game week 12, hopefully that won't be too late for this year and won't solely be an audition for next year.

I don't care ho w long he's been off. When you have a short zone you don't stand with cement feet letting a guy right in front of you run a dig route. You cover someone, anyone, and participate in the defense in some actual manner.

I wonder why Breeland was our KR? What I mean to say is why in the world was Breeland our KR? Yes, I see that he has 10 career kickoff returns for an average that screams mediocre to poor (20.5). We really don't have a better option?

If a young or old player makes a stupid mistake that costs the team an important loss

1) Is it always the player’s fault?

2). Should Gute find smarter players?

3) Are the two stupidous mental errors in most Packer games made by the opponents or by a poorly coached Packer?

4) should millionaire coaches be held accountable for not teaching their players about taunting, hitting in the head after a play is over, roughing a kicker, following a received punt on the ground?

5). Is bowling the best use of very limited trading camp hours?

6) would a video of extremely stupid plays be helpful to young guys so they don’t make the same mistake?

7). If you were to guess which team will have “bad luck” next week, would you guess the poorly coached Packers or some other poorly coached team?

8). When you are down 2 touch downs with under 5 minutes to play, should you use the entire play clock over and over?

Fire. Mike. McCarthy.

Outcoached. Undisciplined. Stupid mistakes. Out adjusted. A QB who can't stay on schedule. A WR1 who got eaten alive. And yet another fairly decent defensive effort wasted by the offense - which eats up 70% of our salary cap.

How does the draft look for 2019 again?

Did I mention: Fire. Mike McCarthy.

MM $6,000,000/year, Zook $1,750,000/ year.

At the above prices wouldn’t you think someone would be responsible for helping our young players understand the important aspects of their assignments?

We deserve a lot better attention to detail for what we are paying. It would be nice to look ahead to games in anticipation of our guys giving good smart efforts toward winning. Instead it seems like we can depend on some stupid mistake to snatch a loss from the jaws of victory.

Our players are good enough. We need a head coach worth $6,000,000 per year. There is no way I would have accepted MM ‘s excuses the last 4 years. If you are going to blame the players, why do we pay an intellectually lazy play caller $6,000,000/ year?

Other than giving ARod the max time to read the D, I 'm not sure what they gain. Seems to lead to a stagnant offense more often than not, followed by a punt.

This game showcased two vastly different play callers. McDaniels takes advantage of the strengths of his guys, MM not so much. I was shocked initially when he had Aaron Jones run that dive play again from inside the 1, then...I wasn't.

I thought MM calling that run to Jones inside the one a second time in consecutive weeks was one of his finest hours as a play caller. Sheer brilliance. 2nd was the quick pass to Cobb for one yard on a 3rd and goal from the 14. I don't think Cobb ever caught a quick pass for more than a 4 yard gain in his entire career yet there's always a first time. MM was simply playing the odds. Hats off to him. Gutsy.

MM was just being "stubborn".

He had to prove that the call was OK and that poor execution by the players made him look bad when in fact the piss poor play call last week WAS HIS fault and he should be held accountable for it.

Why. oh why, does MM send in a palyer package with Cobb and a play with Cobb in the slot and running a deep pattern on a 3rd and medium? Cobb cannot beat anyone deep and why even try on a 3rd and makeable?

MM simply must GO!

So many problems with the Packers, where do I begin? Let's begin with the Packers seem to draft the "stupidest" players. TY Montgomery, Brandon Bostick, Whitehead for being the idiot that hit back, roughing the kicker on 4th and 21, fumbling the ball, Breeland can't cover for crap. How about overpaid players led by Clay Matthews? Two tackles tonight. Two games in a row the Packers got burnt on trick plays, a fake punt last week and a flea flicker tonight. Stupid players or stupid coaches? Rodgers just isn't the Rodgers he was a few years ago, way overpaid now. Minny is better than the Packers and guess what folks, so are the Bears. Without Gronk, without their #1 RB, Brady tore apart the Packers defense. Sorry folks, Brady is not the GOAT (Marino, Peyton, Montana), but he's certainly more reliable and consistent than Rodgers. And why can't Rodgers ever get the snap with more than a half second left on the clock? He cost the Packers four points by settling for a FG due to the clock penalty.

Speaking of stupid, on NE's gadget play with Edelman throwing across the field, you'd think at least one Packer player would recognize how weird it was to have their halfback and three or four o-linemen just standing there not trying to block or anything. Instead not a Packer in the area. No instincts. Just too easy.

Yeah, dumb team. Low football IQ's. We see it time & time again.
That's a clear reflection of coaching, and has been a staple for years.

Remember the final Int we had vs Seattle in the 2014 NFCCG, where Burnett could have/should have sealed the ticket to the Super Bowl with a pick-6, or close? Naah, our coaches yelled for him to just slide down right there.
Last week, we saw more seemingly little examples.

These things add up.

Our players are poorly coached. They are not stupider than Belichek’s players. Put McCarthy In charge of the Patriots and they will start making stupid mistakes as the stupid coaching of MM and his handpicked staff kick in.

Barnacle, the Patriots are disciplined and well coached however, each player knows their job and knows what is required from them. They have been playing and watching and being coached football since they were kids. Packer players first learn how to spell their own name in high school and can barely read the playbook. 4th and 21! 4th and 21! And don't even get me started on potatohead Mike. I can't look at him when he puts on the "I don't understand the call or I don't understand why my brilliant call didn't work" look. Packer players have to drop their pants to count to 21!

I would also add that forcing plays to Cobb is fairly stupid. Cobb looks slow and has no quickness. Either he is still hurt or he has lost it and needs to go. He was really bad. Maybe rookie mistakes are not good but at least they get down field and can make plays and get separation.

MVS as I speak is clearly the no. 2 receiver on this team. Cobb is a short kind of pudgy slow guy. Nice person but as a receiver he poses absolutely no threat at this point in his career. MVS does. We all saw it tonight and I predicted it yesterday he would have a killer game and he did. They put the top corner on him in the end. That's all that needs to be said. I hope MM doesn't F around and play Geronimo ahead of him. Speed kills and MVS is our only home run hitter we have at receiver. I expect more changes coming. Time to shake this team up.

This was a well played game between these two teams. Yeah it's maddening that this game came down to two unscouted plays and a fumble on a strip play, but that's football. (And no. I'm not going to lead the parade for cutting Aaron Jones either.) The other side gets a say too, and veteran teams rarely make the mistakes that we see from the Packers. A game that's billed as Rogers vs Brady is gonna lean pass, because that's where the money and promotion is directed in this sports entertainment product. One thing not pointed out as often is a problem with special teams. Missed field goals, any KR that has value is called back; no punt return, inconsistent in punting. Zook should be on he hot seat.

Zook should be on the hot seat as special teams is costing the Packers games. They're constantly penalized [offsides, holding, roughing kicker], shanking punts, missing kicks, fumbling the ball away, or giving up a long returns. Have special teams had one big play all year? For the Packers that is! There's is only one word to describe Zook's unit and that is "special". As in "aaaww aren't they pitiful" special. The defense is the only unit to me that has shown improvement, they're just stuck playing behind a stagnant vanilla offense and piss poor special teams unit so they look worse than what they really are.

Mike McCarthy is truly a horrible coach. You have the ball first and goal from the three and you throw three straight passes. Rodgers managed to hit Adams but had to scramble to get it there. If McCarthy is back next year then we know he has pictures of Murphy and Gute or something. It's time to move on.

That was incredible, wasn't it? First and goal from the 2, and AR is maneuvering around wildly in the backfield three times before he barely gets the ball to Adams. The Packers deserve a trophy for making offense look as difficult as possible.

I was entertained. I felt the packers were in control right up to the fumble. Disappointing. I found the razzle dazzle plays by the patriots desperate. Still they didn't give up. The younger guys only need to learn how to win. I nice bullet proof shoe for all.

Yes I've always thought that the backup QB should be the field goal holder or potentially the short yardage punter - it just opens options up - and most special teams are composed of young players most susceptible to trick plays.

Sure, Taysom, plays special teams for the Saints, and is a part of an exciting offense, but Joe is surely a financial adviser or commercial loan officer somewhere in Delaware. So there!

Dante Fowler Jr. had a nice game for the Rams today. they aren't afraid to upgrade an already very good team. Eric Reid was sitting out there forever and he should have been brought in. now...its a mess at Safety. OLB did nothing tonight. the Packers went into this year with question marks at S and OLB and did nothing to improve either. so the same holes will be facing Gute next year. time to bring in some proven talent at both positions and quit fu##ing around with these has beens and never were's.

Gute had limited salary cap and draft capital. He drafted WR which had been basically ignored for years. Had to double dip into CB in the draft and FA. Had to overall the TE position. Try to find someone who could play RG. You make it sound like he did nothing...

Yes we all knew that our OLBers were overpaid and the depth behind them was shallow at best. We hoped Pettine could scheme around that and so far he has. We knew that when Burnett walked that safety was a ?. Gute got something for HaHa. He's shown he's not content with our safety play.

Not sure how you expected him to fix everything in one year. I think that Gute has done a great job so far. Alexander is a playmaker Jackson has shown potential. MVS already looks good Brown has flashed and Moore has potential. Maybe we get back our G in 2019 and see what we have in him. Burks has been disappointing.

2018 wasn't a great year for Edge rushers. Which rookie pass rusher would have fixed our problems at OLB? Which FA could Gute have brought in? He tried to bring in Mack and if he had succeeded 2018 might have gone differently for the Packers but all the guy can do is try.

I know I'm going to get slammed on this but AR just doesn't look like the same QB from years past. He simply doesn't have the discipline like Brady to take what the defense gives him underneath and in the flat. He's always, always, always trying to make a play downfield and he doesn't have as much escape ability as he once did. Add in the fact the line is being held together with smoke and mirrors and you have a 3-4-1 team that can't stop tripping over their own feet to cause injury, literally [see, Blake Martinez]. Imho the offensive line is the biggest problem as they can no longer keep Rodgers clean on intermediate routes much less the longer developing ones. Bulaga's on his last leg and is getting pancaked and rag dolled every week in critical situations. Bell, and McCray are backups, while Taylor and Linsley are serviceable but nothing special. Bhaktiari is the only red or blue chip player on the entire line. Gutekunst must address the offensive line and pass rush through the draft and FA. While Mathews and Cobb need to be released for more cap room for FA's who can actually play up to their contracts.

At this point, I don't know how anyone can blast you for saying he doesn't look the same. Because he doesn't. He's not bad by any means, but his accuracy and power have diminished, and his vision seems decreased. I think this injury is affecting him more than let on, and he doesn't trust his o-line, which is understandable. They're starting to get manhandled, especially the interior. I'm expecting Gute to bring some major overhauls to the offense this offseason.

Aaron start to decline. Now, I think it is obvious....

Decline is not something that happen like fell of the cliff. Decline starts with small things, like 4 of 10 balls that are under thrown, while 6 are on the spot. Also, losing pocket awareness, or need to scan field longer because of the peripheral vision, what gives opponent CBs more time to predict where pass will be thrown... All of those small things started to happen to Aaron. Can he overcome that? Yes, changing the way he plays. Like Manning did, or Tom Brady did...

If Packers change HC, Aaron will go to the bench! Because, with his attitude he is not solution, he is the big portion of the problem...

Thank you!

Rak47, I agree.

File this under, "That's not what I wanted to hear" from Rodgers' post-game presser- Aaron says something to the effect of:

I need to feed davante more, that one I threw to EQ was a little early, I should have held it longer and looked for Davante down field.

No, no, no, Aaron. That's not what you should do. You get rid of the ball on time to the open WR. You take a check down. YOU MOVE THE STICKS AND PICK YOUR SPOTS.

For this team to win consistently, the offense has to be flawless; and that hasn’t been the case. 38 points is the minimum. We continue to struggle with tempo whenever the personnel groupings change, and 12 “missing” on five throws a game isn’t going to cut it with this team; they just don’t have that kind of a margin of error. Could we run more? No doubt, but no holding penalties, and no fumbles.

I see some progress on D, but we’re giving up way too many points, and forget about getting a turnover or two to give the offense a short field. I sense the fan base is settling with this defense because of the vast improvement over the last few years, but it’s not a top tier unit by any means.

Let’s hope the second half of the season sees improvement everywhere.

No need for much analysis here. The Packers simply aren't in the same class as the Patriots, and no one else is, either. The Patriots have superior coaching, players, and decision-making (except for that fourth and goal pass). You just had to laugh when you saw how well-choreographed that trick play was. Or the flea-flicker. Stuff like that is out of the realm of consciousness for the Packers--unfortunately.

If you want to beat the Patriots in their building, you have to come up with a special game plan and avoid big mistakes. The Packers managed to hang in there pretty well until that fumble, but that just took the wind out of their sails.

Well, I am not pleased, but I am a fan of the Packers and will not give up on them.

But here are the obvious points -
*At least two full years of needing to find a starting caliber OLB and we ignore it.
*Same regarding a swing lineman. Cole Madison drafted, but no-show. So did we try to find someone at the trade deadline?
*Although TW missed that tackle, he also made a saving play previously at the end-zone, one on one. The play where he missed the tackle, he was left in no-man's land by the rookies, with needing to cover two guys....look at the replay. Still should have made the play, but at least he was there, Unlike Dix.
* This team's offense just could not respond and when it was, we cough up to ball again. The lack of ingenuity is screaming and MM and Aaron have to answer.
*Our front 6 to 7 are highly dependent on Adams, Clark, Matthews (Yes, Matthews), and Martinez. The rest have shown little. And the four mentioned (minus-Clark) have been inconsistent.
*Aaron's play was inconsistent too. Again, he was under-throwing routes. yet he hit some fantastic tosses. I have no answer, but the blind roll-out / keeper was a bad call and on Aaron.

Hate the pass to Cobb on 3rd down/goal on the 1st drive. Isn’t that why we got Jimmy Graham? Supposedly?

Jamaal Williams starts the 2nd drive. Why? Jones had just driven the team down the field on the first drive. Why not feed him, get him (and the offense) into a rhythm?

Later, Aaron Jones takes the ball inside the 3...then 3 pass plays (the third paid off, thankfully).

Whitehead’s slap to the face - more undisciplined bs. Happens every week.

Why is Zook even rushing the punt on 4th and 21 when we’re about to get the ball back on the road, tie game?

Kudos to the defense for getting it done, many men down, and forcing a second punt right after.

It sucks how many high picks have gone to defense and then to watch the same old shit.

Tired of that quizzical McCarthy look you see on the sidelines all game long. Maybe looking puzzled, constantly, is a clue?

Even the guys on SportsCenter were ripping on McCarthy tonight. Basically saying how every pass play is 100% dependent on Rodgers making a flawless throw. It’s amazing he’s been able to do just that for so long. Now that he’s always a bit banged up & doesn’t have the league’s top pass protection, it isn’t humanly possible.

MM going with Williams on drive #2 is the epitome of why MM has to go. I Remember complaining about this “strategy” when it was Lacy/Starks. Lacy would just start to get going and MM would force Starks in so he could bounce a draw play to the outside for a yard and a half.

This team will go as far as Rodgers ability to be flawless will take them. I have no idea how else to predict this season. If not for an all timer vs the Bears week 1, & an almost equally unreal 4th quarter vs SF, & this team is sittin at 1-5-1, despite having the best player in the world. Someone wake up Murphy and get him to do whatever his job is.

I am very encouraged by MVS. He is probably our #2 WR, but he isn't quite a #2 receiver yet. When Davante, our #1 WR, is being contained to just 6.7 yds/reception because he is being doubled a lot, being covered by Gilmore, or both, we need more than 3 receptions on 6 targets from the #2, even though those 3 went for 101 yards. In those circumstances I hope and expect to see 10 targets or more with 6 or 7 receptions and another 30 or 40 yards.

BB took our #1 option more or less away, and was able to shrug off three big plays by MVS. That isn't enough to have consistency or rhythm. Graham did some damage, but Cobb and his 4.8 yds/rec could also just be shrugged off and could be covered by a safety.

Does everyone realize how close we are to being 1 and 7? A couple of miracles and a bad kicker led to 2 wins and a tie. Our offense has shown no creativity. NE used creative plays that MM doesn't even have on his play card. The game has passed him by. Mcdanials will be looking for a HC job and the Packers should snap him up. Brady is right when he says that ARod would pass for 7000 yards in NE offense. Just like TT, MM should be removed. It probably won't happen until the end of the year but it needs to happen.

Reading all the fan comments it’s disheartening to admit team is in decline. Thought a healthy #12 would make a difference, but his game also appears not as sharp as in the past. Team had a good draft this season after 4-5 years of drafting generally crappie players. Lot of changes probably after season, as they gear up for 2019. At this point they may be worse team in their own division with a 30M QB to boot

At this point they may be worse team in their own division with a 30M QB to boot

Have called for McPuffy, Terrible Ted and Capers to be fired for years. Two out of three ain't bad, as Meatloaf would say. But it isn't, because TT is still with the organization, and McPuffy is still on the sidelines.

The Packers, a team I have embraced since the early 1960's, is on a downhill slide. It has been coming slowly for three years or so. But now it is really showing itself clearly.

There are only a few players on the team that another team would truly want for their squads. The rest are average at best, and not coached well at all. Last night proved that yet again. Poor special teams, receivers that don't get open, linebackers that can't get to the QB, and as the case of CMIII, gets blown up by a RB on a clean block protecting his QB.

Bringing in another punter, just in case your current punter has to fly home because his wife is going to have a baby? And have a plane ready just in case? Using up a roster spot for this? That's nuts! And that is just another bad example of how this team is run.

I said a few weeks ago to fire McPuffy now and let Philbin take over for the rest of the season. This team isn't going anywhere anyway. The evening when the Packers season ends, you fire Mike "Mr. Real Estate" Murphy. The organization needs a thorough house cleaning. We need a head coach with a modern offense. One who can adapt. Change with the times. McPuffy hasn't done that. You could hear the NE defense shouting out signals, adjusting to just what the Packers were going to do.

No team in the league is afraid of the Packers anymore. And that means a lot in the NFL. They have lost their ability to instill fear the past couple of years. Everybody knows what the Packers are going to do on offense. Pettine's defense is improving as the season goes on, but injuries are an issue, and lack of depth on both sides of the ball, along with that same poor coaching, has helped get us to where we are now. I hope Gute can continue to clean house and bring in players who can play. And draft well too. Can't judge him yet after only one year. But he has failed some this season by not bringing in available safety and OLB/Pass rusher help. Is that Murphy and Russ Ball holding him back with money being the reason? We don't know that answer.

I will continue to, and will always be a Packers fan. A frustrated one, but one never the less. Maybe karma has come around to bite us in the ass after so many good years. We have been spoiled that's for sure. But I like that! Why should the New England Patriot fans have all the fun?

I just would like to say thank you to the many people here that post their thoughts, their concerns and their gripes. I enjoy reading all the comments here. Best Packer forum around!

Go Pack!

MIA.....he's a TE....wears #80....has anybody seen this man.....yes, the same TE we were promised would be an unstoppable combination, Rodgers to Graham......unstoppable! What a joke! Hasn't been a factor in ANY games thus far. Great move management. Can't sign Mack but we'll roll out the carpet for a TE who either has fallen victim to McCarthy's play calling or his better days are far behind him.

We must win 6 out of the last 8 games to have a chance of making the playoffs. That doesn't necessarily guarantee us making the playoffs, but I think it does guarantee that McCarthy won't be back next year. Time's up Mike and we need a change. I hope there's another HC out there that fits what Gutekunst is trying to build and who's young and enthusiastic. Someone who will work well with Rodgers and will use the upcoming draft to fix both sides of the line of scrimmage. We must draft better. Passing on Watt in 2017 and Derwin James this year hurt!!!!

I love the Green Bay Packers and am a fan for life. I'm 66 and grew up with Ray Nitschke and Bart Starr and the Packer Sweep. About time Kramer who made the sweep go finally is a HOFamer. This team has a lot of talent I believe on offense. We must continue to run the football with Aaron Jones who needs 20 touches a game. Open the middle of the field with Graham who's a monster TE. Look for a first round plug and play right tackle like the kid from the Badgers. The ability to run the football will make Rodgers and passing game more LETHAL. The second half of the season starts this week at home against the Dolphins. GO PACK GO!!!

Packers lack a solid gameplan and lack speed. With our schemes our receivers dont get any separation. Rodgers always running for life, Brady immobile and sits in pocket. Our pass rush is very poor, and our d backs seem 10 yards off multiple receivers during many plays. Our problem: MM failure to change playbook and not using Jones fully.

I've never been one the people saying "Cobb can't get open." BUT, he looked awful last night. I don't think he is fully recovered from his injury . Those snaps need to be going to Kumerow and that has to happen ASAP. You can bitch about McCarthy, you can bitch about Rodgers, but the truth is they need another guy out there that can win 1v1 on get separation. 17, MVS, and Kumerow would give the Packers a chance. Right now, Cobb doesn't.

I am sick and tired of the blase play calling of M.M. His philosophy of "Lets get back to basics" is B.S. IMHO. Highly successful College Teams and NFL Teams are all using gadget plays to offset the defenses of other teams and make huge gains or touchdowns. Rodgers and Cobb could execute these plays instead of the run the ball up the gut play calling of M.M. I shudder how inept the pass blocking was for A.R. vs Pats, and I am not the least critical of the new young defensive backs who are learning their skills with "On the Job Training". Many teams in the NFl have dynamic-speedy-elusive Punt & Kick off returners.. we don't.
Ha-Ha was traded for salary considerations, not poor play as was Micah Hyde, another outstanding player traded to Buffalo. Jimmy Graham is over the hill and should be traded for another young player like our 3 rookie wideouts, who will become great players over time. Bulaga is old, slow, and ineffective, and even Ray Charles could see this, and should be cut or traded. All the linemen the Packers have traded over the past two seasons are "average players on other teams.. no Pro-Bowlers among them! If M.M. had any leadership qualities, he would have started Deshone Kizer for both the Lions and 49's games, let A.R. rest and heal, then with the bye week, maybe he could be completely healed and back to his normal health. A.R. is now so compromised by fear of knee injury again, he has lost his outstanding scan the field to find the open receiver skillset because he cannot run at top speed yet to enable this skill. It will be a miracle if the Pack goes 8-8 this Season, and forget the playoffs folks because this team has neither the offense, defense, special Teams and good coaching to sustain them against top Teams. Minnesota will win the division, followed by the Bears, Lions and Packers will struggle to avoid 4th place in this Division.

They had a penalty before the game even started. Tell me that didn’t tell ya all you needed to know for the night. Yeah, they get a couple nice plays, defense gets some important stops, no doubt. But the fact they’d f**k this up was evident in the very first strides of their always “special" teams.

When an organization puts more energy in their real estate development than their special teams, you know something is pretty f****d up.

On the bright side, they're consistently moving their way up the draft selection ladder.

I think this is the first article to finally lay some black e on #12

He is not exceptional don't know if knee or missing most of last year but his accuracy is spotty and his contract will kill us

No Excuses, Well maybe a few. We got Hammered!! I posted 5 1/2 was a Toss Up. I knew it was too many to Bet GB, but with my wife in on 1/2, I couldn't bet NE. I also posted that it was a Solid Over, & the Right way to bet was the Under. I tried to over think the Experts. You can't do that.
Contrary to what I've said 100 times, Vegas claims to have lost $7 - $10 Million Dollars on the games yesterday, mainly Minnesota, Pittsburg, Kansas City, & NE who all covered easy spreads. I don't know if it's True or Not, but you can go on the internet & read the story. Many years back, I was told by a New York Bookmaker, that once a year, Vegas tries to Kill Off all the Bookies across the country. Maybe yesterday was it.
I thought GB played pretty well. A few bad breaks. We were in it for quite a while. Maybe that's just because I had money on them, but I thought almost till the end, that it was going to be a 3 Pt game. The game could have just as well gone Over had a few plays gone differently. The fact is, GB got beat. The best team won, but as I said numerous times, Bulaga, who I think is a Good Football Player, makes more money on the sideline, than on the field. It's too bad, but he along with a few others should have been Replaced years ago. We have the makings of a couple of good receivers, but they are not there yet. They will never replace the WR Core AR was handed when he took over. Not sure it's in the cards for AR anymore. We need Playmakers on both Offense & Defense. You guy's know who they are.
