Glad to see the disdain on Carroll's face after being shut out and being 0-5 at Lambeau with Wilson. DK Metcalf got absolutely shut down and we see exactly what kind of child he is after punching 3 players in the face, but how is that not a 15 yard penalty after going back into the huddle after being ejected? Whatever. It made little difference, this GB defense, without it's top 3 pass rushers now, HANDED it to Seattle, Wilson and Carroll. Congrats on a great team win, guys.

Without a doubt this is one of the most satisfying victories I've witnessed in years. To the younger readers this is typical of a game during the 60's Packers. Two teams with tough defenses going toe-to-toe. Ball control means every play counts. In an era when 30-40 points is deemed as a good game, what a wonderful performance to see the Packers stop a top-shelf quarterback to zero points.

It was the middle of the 4th quarter before either team found the end zone (at least, with completed passes to their own team - boneheaded pick by 12), but eventually the long, if fruitless, drives plus inspired play by the defense allowed the Packers to outlast the Seahawks. It's wild to think that a change of DC and some key signings by Gutekunst have lifted this unit from what it was last year to what it is now - dominant. If GB can clean some things up on offense and sustain this level of play on defense, this team could very well be Super Bowl bound. GPG!

I got to witness something that was really shameful today. I followed the game as I normally do here on CHTV. One of the regular posters on here, which it's now very obvious he is not a Packers fan argued that the fumble recovered by #12 on the bad exchange should be Seattle's ball. He hates Rodgers so bad he would rather see the Packers loose so he can pin something on him. There were other comments almost as bad so the only conclusion I can come up with is there are a lot of Vikings and Bears trolls here on CHTV.

Feel so bad for Gary. Hope he avoided serious injury.

That was a VERY impressive performance by the Packers Defense. My God I hope Gary is okay. These injuries are getting ridiculous!

Speaking of injuries I hope Aaron Jones will be back this year and there's hopefully just a sprain. I'm hoping the fact he didn't go to the dressing room as a glimmer of hope. MLF finally started calling SCREENS in the 2nd half and woo-la, the Packers started moving the ball.

Perhaps while the Packers were killing the clock on that final TD drive, MLF will FINALLY learn to run AJ Dillon near the goalline. That TD where he just used those huge ass legs to drive Bobby Wagner back into the endzone for a TD was a thing of beauty. Just like Master Card...Priceless!

Between Romo and the little I've heard on TV after the game, Russell Wilson was just rusty. Yes, I'm sure he was...Just like Rodgers was. BUT I'll also venture to say the Packers defense is LEGIT!!!

Rasul Douglas continues to be really impressive. Both safeties and all CBs were wonderful. Hope Mason gets on track… we will need him. I try to love others but I find it incredibly difficult to not hate the gum chewer and his teams (other than Russell). I’m going to have a great week in the Pacific Northwest.

There's nothing I like more than a shutout, but it's a sobering win with the injuries to Gary and Jones. We'll have to wait and see what the deal is. Mercilus, too.

What a treat for the fans in attendance to witness a shutout; they don't often happen anymore.

What a war of attrition. While we had a big drop and a bad interception, we won TOP by nearly 2:1--that's a formula for success when your defense is playing THAT well.

With the exception of the Crosby miss, special teams were not a problem. Thankfully.

Dillon: Obviously the power TD runs were more important, but that catch and run down the sideline was pretty damn impressive.

Award time:

1) Coach of the Year: Barry. I know he's an assistant, but he deserves it anyway. The secondary is just playing lights out, and opposing QBs are being short-circuited by our schemes and execution.

2) Joint winners, Shithead of the Game: Dunlap and Metcalf. Such poor sports, and wholly deserving of the penalties called against them. Mr. Backes may even want to consider the Dunlap shoe fling for his Game-Changing Play column.

A shutout?? Woo hoo! Finally Green Bay has a legit defense we can trust. Take a bow, Mr. Barry. This is what we've been hoping for since forever. This last dance will go much smoother if our defense can wipe out the other teams' trombone sections!

The "Quadfather" Dillon was a monster towards the end, especially that catch and run down the sidelines! D was unreal again! Rodgers at best was "ho Hum", effects of Coivd obvious on him. Hope the 3 major injuries aren't season ending!

If there is one team outside the NFC North that I loathe the most, it's Seattle.

Between some of the most gut wrenching defeats ever (the Fail Mary, the NFC Championship nightmare), the endless whining from Pete Carroll and his team of undisciplined goons, I have no sympathy for Pete Carroll. None.

Jamal Adams mocking the belt was the icing, Metcalf getting ejected was the sprinkles and the defense pitching a shutout was the cherry on top. Have a nice flight back to Seattle, and enjoy being in the basement of the NFC West.

This defense is legit. My only concern is the injuries are really starting to pile up. Gary's injury looked ugly and Mercilus grabbing his bicep has me worried. Kevin King played his 2nd straight good game, he just needs to stay healthy. Guy is a string bean and gets injured too easily. Stokes looks like the real deal, and PFF can eat their words on him (as they are about AJ Dillon).

I love our safety duo. I never understood why Chicago let Amos go, but he is a rock back there, and is a big reason why Savage is doing well too....as soon as Amos left Chicago, Eddie Jackson's play has taken a nosedive. You gotta have a tandem back there and they're great together. Can you imagine how good this secondary can be when Jaire comes back in January (my estimate at this point).

Special teams -- a lot better tonight, aside from Crosby missing another freaking kick. Let's hope he gained some bit of confidence after hitting his other two PATs and one FG. Coverage units were pretty solid, Bojorquez keeps punting well and no bad decisions by Amari Rodgers.

Rodgers was rusty. I can only hope a week of practice will help the offense get back in rhythm.

Once Gary and Mercilus were out Wilson had eons to throw, but the secondary was remarkable!

The defense is playing lights out, which no one would have believed after week one. What is mind boggling is their doing it without Alexander and L. Smith. Yes, certain players like, Lowry, Lancaster and K. King have stepped up their game. Campbell has been a pleasant addition to the unit. Stokes is the real deal and picking up Douglas has solidified the secondary. Gutey needs credit for the additions and Barry has them believing in themselves. Let’s get healthy and run the table, remember, defense wins Championships, Go Pack Go!!!

If AJ has a sprained MCL he could return in two weeks which would become 3 weeks with the bye after the Rams.

In the interim, bowl for strikes with AJD and spell him with Patrick Taylor. I am excited to see Taylor play. And he has been in the playbook since Spring 2020 although injured for most of 2020.
